The chairman of the West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity, Mark Matthews, accompanied by the vice chairman John Smith and CEO of the charity Steve Kayne made a visit to Preston Masonic Hall where they had the pleasure of donating a cheque for £10,000 in support of the MCF 2021 Festival.
In making the presentation Mark said it was a tangible demonstration of the close ties that link all the Masonic charities.
The Provincial Grand Master Anthony Harrison and Assistant Provincial Grand Master David Winder, President and Vice President of the Province of the West Lancashire MCF 2021 Festival, were on hand to receive the generous donation.
In receiving the cheque, the Provincial Grand Master thanked Mark for the very generous contribution to the Festival. In doing so, he said the Province was delighted to have the continued support of the West Lancashire Freemasons’ Charity, fully acknowledging the importance of supporting the MCF 2021 Festival as a first priority for charitable giving within the period of the Festival. He also added the thanks of those who will ultimately benefit from the contribution.
The Masonic Charity Foundation is now the overarching charity that supports all Masonic charities and community giving that will ensure the funds are directed to the areas of most need.
