Another successful luncheon for the ladies fellowship

The increasingly popular luncheons of our ladies fellowship held their latest meeting here at Garston Masonic   hall. The luncheons, which are open to all the ladies and widows of our group  are gaining a wider audience due, in no short measure, to the hard work of our group charity representative, Keith Williams.

Given that this was the last meeting of the fellowship before Christmas, both the hall and the dining room were fully dressed for the occasion, no doubt adding to the enjoyment of the afternoon. The ladies were treated to the sounds of  local vocalist and group member, Bill Wenton, and a Christmas luncheon provided by hall caterer, Tony Ackroyd.

During the afternoon two raffles were held. A free raffle for the ladies, with the prize of a shopping voucher for the lucky winner. The second raffle, which was in support of ‘Tom Harrison House’, raised £231 in support of their work assisting military veterans.

Further details of their work and their website can be found here

The next luncheon is on Friday 29 March 2019 when it is hoped to add to the growing number of attendees. Should any lady or widow of the group wish to attend the event, the cost is just £5. To ensure your place(s), please contact Keith by email at
